STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN INDUSTRI ENERGI TERBARUKAN GEOTHERMAL DI KABUPATEN PASAMAN

Abstract


Adequate electricity becomes one of the factors supporting the pace of economic growth in Indonesia. In Indonesia, the geothermal potential is spread for the development of environmentally friendly electrical energy. The potential for geothermal energy in Pasaman Regency is two points with 66 MWe and 97 MWe potential respectively. This potential will be very beneficial for the community as a power plant, can also develop the concept of aquaculture, agriculture, education and research as well as being a tourist attraction. The purpose of this study is to identify the benefits of geothermal potential and geothermal development strategies in Pasaman Regency. The method used is the SWOT to analyze the development strategy of the geothermal energy industry for its energy use. The results of this study are strategies for developing the use of renewable energy optimally. Strategies that can be developed are the provision of supporting infrastructure, increased investment, energy optimization, government policies and outreach to the community related to development plans and the benefits to be gained by the development of geothermal energy
