Abstract

The five standard mathematical abilities that students must have are problem solving skills. One supporter of improving problem solving skills is the existence of self efficacy in students. Students who have high self-efficacy tend to be able to improve mathematical problem solving skills. Because selfefficacy has an impact on the ability of students to work on tasks to solve problems in the academic field. This research aimed to know the correlation between self efficacy with mathematical problem solving abilities students through learning math education realistic.  The method used research is experiments. The population research was the students class VIII of SMPN in  Tasikmalaya. The sample was randomly selected, the class into the sample is class  VIII C then given of  learning math education realistic. The collection of data technique used was the provision of the test mathematical problem solving abilities students and the provision of self efficacy survey. Analysis of statistics used the simple analysis regresi. Based on the results of data obtained the condusion is there is a correlation between self efficacy with mathematical problem solving abilities students through learning math education realistic with the middle criteria. Based on data analysis, of the survey self efficacy of students are learning to use the mathematics education realistic, including on the middle criteria.
