PERAN TENAGA KERJA WANITA PADA INDUSTRI GENTENG DI DESA WANAJAYA KECAMATAN KASOKANDEL KABUPATEN MAJALENGKA

Abstract

Labor is the potential that every human being has. Currently there are many female workers in the public sector, usually women only work in the domestic sector, one of which is in the informal sector, namely industry. The role of women in economic avtivities is currently very much needed, the demands of economic needs are quite heavy, encouraging women to earn s living to increase family income. The method used is literature study by collecting references from various journals. The roles of women’s are traditional, transitional, dual, egalitarian and contemporary roles. The informal sector has the characteristics of being easy to enter, does not require a license to operate, uses simple technology, operates on a small scale, the units are not organized, job opportunities are not regulated by the government. Labor in the informal sector, especially industry, has low educational characteristics and does not have special skills, because the informal sector only uses simple technology. Female workers choose to workers choose to work in the informal sector, because they do not have special skills and their working hours are not binding.
