AKTIFITAS KERUANGAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT NELAYAN DI PANGKALAN PENDARATAN IKAN (PPI) CIKIDANG PANGANDARAN

Abstract

Fish Landing Base (PPI) Cikidang Pangandaran has a coastal area that is used as a base for capture fisheries activities and is also a tourist attraction. The fishing community is facilitated by the existence of fishing port infrastructure. They have boat moorings, making it easier to market fishery products and increasing safety for them. However, in operational services there are many obstacles. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of fishermen's activities and the driving and inhibiting factors of fishing activities. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Consists of independent variables in the form of economic activities of fishermen and the driving and inhibiting factors of fishing activities. Data was collected by means of observation and questionnaires to 34 fishing communities. The results show that fishing community activities are still traditional in catching fish so that the marketing of marine products is not too much. In this case, it has an impact on the community's economy which is influenced by natural factors in the form of weather and climate conditions, low human resources in managing natural resources plus the lack of management of fishing ports.
