Abstract


Students' difficulties in dealing with lessons, especially science, make learning objectives difficult to achieve. This provides the basis for researchers to change students' learning difficulties into making science lessons a very enjoyable lesson. It is not easy for a teacher to create conducive classroom conditions for all students. There are students who are less enthusiastic, less active and teaching and learning activities are not student-centred, which is a problem that causes low student learning outcomes. There are students who are proactive, there are students who don't talk much but have academic abilities above their friends, and there are also students who talk a lot but have low abilities. Where science lessons are full of complicated theories, concepts and practicums. Through classroom action research, this problem was tried using a standard-type contextual learning model on basic dynamic electrical competencies. PTK was carried out in two cycles with the research aim of describing student activities, knowing learning outcomes, and knowing student responses after learning science, fostering self-confidence in students. Class action research was carried out in class IX A, semester 1, totaling 30 students, 15 female students, 15 male students at SMPN 1 Langkaplancar, Langkaplancar District, Pangandaran Regency.
