UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR GEOGRAFI PADA MATERI PENGINDERAAN JAUH DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASE LEARNING DI KELAS X IPS 2 SMA NEGERI 6 GARUT

Abstract


This research was carried out with the intention that the results of learning Geography for class X IPS 2 students of SMA Negeri 6 Garut for the 2022/2023 academic year are classified as still low and getting better. This is because the process of learning activities is still monotonous, conventional learning models and the role of students in exploring information and knowledge is still very limited. The problem in this study is whether the application of the project base learning learning model can increase learning motivation and learning outcomes. The research subjects were class X IPS 2 students at SMA Negeri 6 Garut for the academic year 2022/2023, totaling 38 people consisting of 24 male students and 14 female students. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The data taken were in the form of student observation data, end-of-cycle evaluation tests, and data from student reflection questionnaire results on learning. The results showed that in cycle 1 the average score of student learning outcomes was obtained 60.762 with the lowest score 30 and the highest score 87 and students who had completed with a score of 65 and above there were 23 students (60.53%), and those who had not complete there are 15 students (39.47%), while in cycle 2 an average score of 80.947 is obtained with the highest score of 100 and the lowest score of 54 where students with a minimum score of 65 and above or who have completed there are 30 people (78, 95 %), and students scored less than 65 or who had not completed 8 people (21.05 %). The conclusion from this study is that the implementation of the project base learning model can improve geography learning outcomes in remote sensing material and increase the learning activities of class X IPS 2 students of SMA Negeri 6 Garut in the 2016/2017 academic year. For this reason, it is suggested to geography teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Garut to implement the project base learning model on remote sensing material because it can improve student learning outcomes and learning activities.
