HUBUNGAN FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN DAN PERILAKU DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA : SCOPING REVIEW
Abstract
dampak jangka panjang berupa peningkatan morbiditas dan mortalitas serta
gangguan produktifitas di masa mendatang. Prevalensi stunting di seluruh dunia
cenderung menurun tetapi masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat.
Berbagai penelitian menemukan bahwa determinan utama stunting adalah intake
nutrisi yang tidak adekuat, pola asuh tidak memadai maupun pengaruh status gizi selama kehamilan. Tetapi beberapa penelitian saat ini menemukan adanya bukti pengaruh faktor lingkungan dengan stunting. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menggali hasil penelitian saat ini dan mengkompilasi faktor
lingkungan yang berhubungan dengan stunting, sehingga menemukan gap
pengetahuan dan bisa menjadi arah untuk penelitian berikutnya. Pencarian
sistematis dilakukan melalui pencarian dari database elektronik yaitu PubMed,
Science Direct, Scopus, Wiley online library dan Google Scholar, serta pencarian
database penelitian tesis dan disertasi UGM. Artikel yang direview adalah yang
berisi hasil penelitian observasional (cros sectional, kohort dan kasus kontrol)
yang menganalisis hubungan faktor lingkungan dan kejadian stunting pada balita. Hasil pencarian menemukan 8 artikel penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria insklusi dan dilakukan analisis akhir. Dari sejumlah artikel, diperoleh hasil bahwa sumber dan akses terhadap air bersih dan air minum memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian stunting balita. Kepemilikan jamban sehat, serta praktik cuci tangan pakai sabun dan air mengalir juga berhubungan dengan stunting balita. Selain faktor air bersih, sanitasi dan higiene, diketahui bahwa faktor kepemilikan unggas dan faktor lingkungan fisik rumah (jenis lantai dan dinding) serta paparan polutan domestik (asap rokok dan bahan bakar memasak) berhubungan dengan stunting meskipun hanya ditemukan pada sedikit penelitian.
