Analisis Kemampuan Lilterasi Matematis Siswa pada Materi Perbandingan
Abstract
This study aims to analyze students' literacy skills and the difficulties faced by participants in solving comparative material problems. This research includes qualitative research with an exploratory method with data collection using the think a loud method. Data collection techniques used in the form of analytical thinking skills tests and unstructured interviews. The subjects of this study were students of class VII A of SMP Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya. Determine based on the results of students' test questions that meet 6 indicators of students' mathematical literacy abilities regardless of answers or wrong answers, and are able to provide clear information regarding test questions. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that there were 2 students who were able to work on the test questions and were able to meet the six indicators of mathematical literacy ability regardless of right or wrong answers. S-10 is able to meet the indicators of communication, mathematization and representation and has difficulty in indicators of formulating strategies, reasoning and giving reasons and using symbolic, formal and technical language as well as operations. Meanwhile, S30 is able to fulfill communication and mathematization indicators and difficulties in representation indicators, formulating strategies, reasoning and giving reasons and using symbolic, formal and technical language as well as operations. . In this case the S-10 and S-30 are faced with difficulties in learning the concepts that have been obtained and difficulties in applying the principles. So that there are no students who are able to solve the test questions correctly.
