Analisis Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis ditinjau dari Kecerdasan Emosional Pada Materi Dilatasi

Abstract


This research aims to describe mathematical reasoning abilities in terms of emotional intelligence in dilation material. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires, tests and unstructured interviews. The instruments used were an emotional intelligence questionnaire, mathematical reasoning test questions on dilated material, and interviews. The selection of subjects for this research was carried out by selecting one student each from the categories of high, medium, low emotional intelligence and who could take tests on dilated material based on indicators of mathematical reasoning ability. The results of the research show that students with high emotional intelligence are able to answer five indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, namely making conjectures, carrying out mathematical manipulations, drawing conclusions, compiling evidence, providing reasons or evidence for several solutions, checking the feasibility of an argument, finding patterns or the nature of symptoms. mathematics to make generalizations, students with moderate emotional intelligence are able to answer three indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, namely making conjectures, carrying out mathematical manipulations, and drawing conclusions from statements, and students with low emotional intelligence are able to answer three indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, namely proposing conjectures, perform mathematical manipulations, and draw conclusions from statements.
