Analisis Proses Berpikir Abstraksi Peserta Didik dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Jenis AKM pada Materi SPLTV Ditinjau dari Kemampuan Awal Matematika
Abstract
This research aims to analyze students' abstraction thinking processes in solving AKM type questions on SPLTV material in terms of initial mathematical abilities. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research were initial mathematics ability tests, abstraction tests and unstructured interviews. The instruments used were initial mathematics ability test questions on SPLDV material, abstraction test questions on SPLTV material and interview guidelines. The subjects in this research were students in class XI-10 SMA Negeri 4 Tasikmalaya. The research results show that students' abstraction thinking processes differ according to their initial mathematical abilities. Subjects with high initial mathematical abilities (S-9) reached all levels of structural abstraction, but had not yet reached indicators of structural awareness regarding alternative methods. Participants taught with moderate initial mathematics abilities (S-25) only reached the level of structural abstraction because they did not understand story problems. Meanwhile, students with low initial abilities (S-5) only reach the representation level due to a lack of understanding of the concept of performance.
Keywords: abstraction thought process; AKM; SPLTV; early math skills
