Abstract


The purpose of this study was to describe the Influence of Self Potential, Learning Achievement, Parents' Income, Career Planning, and Peers on the Interest of Continuing Education to Higher Education at Al Istiqamah High School. This type of research is associative research. This research population is all students of class XII maybe 95 people. The sampling technique desired in this study is Stratified Random Sampling and data analysis using multiple Linear Regression with data processing using SPSS 17.0 and Eviews 10. Based on the research results it can prove that the results of this study are: 1) Self-potential has a positive effect shown by the regression coefficient value is 0.617 and the tcount value is 2.724. 2) Learning achievement has a positive effect as indicated by the regression coefficient value of 0.764 and the tcount value of 3.651. 3) Parents' income has a positive effect as indicated by the regression coefficient value of 0.627 and tcount of 1.982. 4) Career planning has a positive effect as indicated by the regression coefficient value of 0.895 and the tcount of 3.150. 5) Peers have a positive effect as indicated by the regression coefficient value of 0.105 and the tcount value of 1.781. 5. The value of Fcount is 89,033> from the Ftable value of 2.54, so that the null hypothesis is rejected and the hypothesis is accepted. The percentage effect of the variable is 89.2%, while the remaining 10.8% is explained by other causes outside the research.
