PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIK PESERTA DIDIK

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the Quantum learning model on triangular material and quadrilateral on students' mathematical problem solving abilities and to find out at the steps where students experience the greatest difficulties in solving mathematical problem solving questions. The method used in this study is the experimental research method, with a population of all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sariwangi, Tasikmalaya Regency in the academic year 2011/2012 which are spread in six classes with even ability in each class (no superior class). Samples were taken two classes randomly, namely class VII-A as the experimental class with the number of students 31 people and VII-B as the control class with a total of 36 students. The instruments used were in the form of test questions for mathematical problem solving abilities as many as 4 questions with an ideal score of 40 and carried out 1 time. For testing the statistical analysis of the data used two average difference test, after the calculation of data analysis with a significance level of 1% obtained t_count> t _ ((1-α) (db)) then H0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. This shows that there is a positive influence on the use of the Quantum learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in triangular and quadrilateral material. students in the experimental class and the control class experienced the greatest difficulties in solving mathematical problem solving questions in step 4, which was checking results.
