Abstract


There are some factory which influence the students abilities in learning mathematics such as how they learn and mmodels or methats used by teacher. Students are forced to learn actively so that shey can improve the students skill and to create a classroom managrmrnt which can create the invention and improvement of mathematics. One of the ways to make students active is by making same groups, so that the teacher can choose cooperative learning as a solution. The aim of this research is to compere the results of mathematics learning process between Team Games Tournament (TGT) and Numbered Head Together (NHT) in cooperative learning. The populations in this research 327 students of the VIII grade of SMPN 9 Tasikmalaya. There are two random classes for samples experiment groups: class VIII D which has 46 students uses Team Gemes Tournament (TGT) and 46 students in class VIII C uses Numbered Head Together (NHT). The data is the results of essay test which was done twice after the class ended. Before the test was given, it was tested first in another class outside of the samples. Data analysis techniques use two average defference test. The calculation results is thitung = 2,41 and t daftar = 2,38. Evidenhy thitung >tdaftar. If means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion of this research is that the students who use. Cooperative learning type TGT have better grade than thwse who use NHT model.
