PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIK DAN HABITS OF MIND PESERTA DIDIK

Abstract


The aims of this research is to discover any positive influences in assembling the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method towards students’ problem solving and habits of mind during learning using PBL method. The method of this research is Experimental Research. The Participants are all the 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Karangnunggal Tasikmalaya. Using random sampling method, the sample are class VIII C using PBL method and class VIII A using direct learning method. The result of their test in mathematics’ problem solving and some autonomous learning questionnaires will be used as this research’s data resources. The research’s instruments are some test in mathematics’ problem solving and some habits of mind questionnaires. This research will be analyzed using t-test. As a conclusion based on the data analysis, there are some positiveinfluences in assembling the PBL method towards students’ problem solving and skills in mathematic. The students’ habits of mind are qualified in medium qualification.
