MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENGGALI KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN MATEMATIK

Abstract


The research aims to explore the ability of mathematical comprehension using Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning models, analyze the ability of mathematical comprehension using Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning models, and explore learning independence that learning uses Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning models. The instruments in this study were tests of mathematical comprehension skills and learning independence questionnaires. The results of data analysis show that the ability of mathematical comprehension  using the Problem Based Learning model are better than those using Discovery Learning, students' the ability of mathematical comprehension using Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning models mostly have difficulty in predicting the truth with certainty (without hesitation) before further analysis (intuitive understanding). Learning independence which learning uses the Problem Based Learning model and Discovery Learning model is in the medium category.
