KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIK PESERTA DIDIK DITINJAU DARI GAYA BELAJAR KOLB

Abstract


One of the mathematical abilities that must be developed in learning mathematics in schools is mathematical reasoning ability. Mathematical reasoning ability as a process of mathematical thinking is carried out to draw a conclusion or a new statement from several statements that have been known to be true. The ability of reasoning is closely related to learning styles because it is related to information processing. Kolb's learning style is an individual's way of doing activities of thinking, processing, and processing information. The type of learning style according to Kolb consists of convergent, divergent, assimilation, and accommodation learning styles. This study aims to describe the mathematical reasoning abilities of students in class X Vocational School in terms of learning styles Kolb. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The research subjects consisted of four students, each of whom had a different learning style, and had equal mathematical abilities. Mathematical reasoning is analyzed based on mathematical reasoning indicators, namely estimating answers and process solutions, giving explanations to existing models, facts, or patterns, doing direct verification, doing calculations based on rules.
