ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIK SISWA SMP DITINJAU DARI KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR

Abstract


The results of the research that the researchers have done are aimed at describing the mathematical connection abilities of students in terms of learning independence seen from the students' mistakes in solving the test questions of mathematical connection skills. The subjects of this study were Class VII students of the Integrated Middle School Riyadlul Ulum Wadda'wah as many as 35 students. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research phase consists of 4 stages, including: filling the learning questionnaire, testing the mathematical connection ability, analyzing data and drawing conclusions. The results of the research were obtained that: 1) Students with learning independence both make mistakes in the relationship between the topics discussed in mathematics, and apply mathematics in other fields or in daily life, 2) Students with learning independence are making mistakes in understanding the relationship between discussion and in identifying processes or procedures in applying basic concepts, 3) Students with low independence make mistakes in understanding the relationship of mathematics in other fields of science and in everyday life. Based on the results of the research that has been done it can be concluded that the better the learning independence of students, the smaller they make mistakes in solving the problem of mathematical connection skills.
