PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN MATEMATIS SISWA SMA MELALUI PENDEKATAN RIGOROUS MATHEMATICAL THINKING (RMT)

Abstract


This study aims to determine the differences in the improvement of students 'mathematical comprehension skills in learning using the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) approach with the ability of students' mathematical understanding of learning using the scientific approach. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental. The research design used was a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X in one of the high schools in Tasikmalaya Regency, with samples of class X MIA 2 and X MIA 3. The instrument used is a test of mathematical comprehension ability. Processing and analysis of data using the two Indpendent Sample t-Test, Mann Whitney test. The results of the study showed that the improvement in students' mathematical comprehension ability who received learning using the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) approach was better than students who received learning with the scientific approach.
