MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SISWA DENGAN MENERAPKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING DI SMA
Abstract
The low level of mathematical critical thinking skills and student achievement motivation is a problem that requires teachers to be able to create and apply an approach to learning. This research is a quantitative research that aims to describe the increase in mathematical critical thinking skills of students who have learned using discovery learning models better than expository learning. The subjects in this study were grade XI students of Senior High School in Ciamis. One class is treated with Discovery Learning (DL) learning and the other class with expository learning. The instruments used in this study were test of mathematical critical thinking skills, observation sheets and interview guidelines. Quantitative approach is done in the form of Quasi experiment with experimental design used is the control pretest-posttes group design. The results of this study are the application of discovery learning learning models can improve student’s critical thinking skills mathematically.
