ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DALAM PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA MELALUI PENDEKATAN OPEN ENDED PROBLEM

Abstract


This study aims to determine the level of students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. This includes qualitative-explorative studies conducted at Vocational School in Tasikmalaya. The data generated is in the form of information obtained from problem solving questions and interviews. The results: (1) Students are not clear in identifying the facts in the problem, (2) students are less critical ie students can identify the facts in the problem, (3) critical students namely students can identify facts in the problem, express knowledge preconditions correctly , solving problems but still not accurate at every stage, and (4) students are very critical that students can identify the facts given clearly, mention concepts / theorems / material preconditions. Based on these results, in general students' critical thinking skills can be applied in school in mathematics.
