Abstract


The purpose of this research is to know the best model of mathematical problem solving abilities of students between using Problem Based Learning model and Creative Problem Solving model, and also to know attitudes of students against the use of both learning model. The population in this study is all seventh grade students of State Junior High School 10 Tasikmalaya which amounted to eleven classes. Samples are taken randomly as much as two class, the sampel are class VII-G using PBL method and class VII-F using CPS method. This  research is using experimental method. The research instrument is the questions of mathematical problem solving ability test and the attitude questionnaire of students. The data analysis technique using different test of two averages. Research results show that mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the Problem Based Learning model is better than who use Creative Problem Solving model. Students give positive attitude towards learning mathematics by using Problem Based Learning model and Creative Problem Solving model
