Abstract


The purpose of this study to determine the application of cooperative learning models of the TeamsGames-Tournament (TGT) type can increase the active learning of mathematics students of class XII Furniture Engineering at SMK Al Huda Turalak in Basic Opportunities for Opportunities for Events that have an impact on improving learning outcomes. The type of this research is class action research with the subject of research are students of class XII Furniture Engineering of SMK Al Huda Turalak District Ciamis Academic Year 2017/2018 consisting of 38 students. The research was carried out in two cycles of action. The first cycle discusses the subject matter of the Enumeration, Permutation and Combination Rules and the second cycle about the Opportunity of an Event. Data obtained from the observations during the mathematics learning activities take place using student activity observation sheets, student response questionnaires, field notes, interviews, and documentation. Data obtained from the activeness observation sheet and student response questionnaire were analyzed by calculating the percentage of all observed aspects. The results showed that the activeness of students' mathematics learning after the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the TeamsGames-Tournament (TGT) type showed that on average all aspects of the active learning of mathematics students of class XII Furniture Engineering SMK Al Huda Turalak Ciamis District on the subject increased. This is indicated by an increase in the results of the average percentage of the observation sheet of student learning activeness for each cycle, namely in the first cycle of student activity at 61.17% for the second cycle of 77.11%. In addition, the results of the student questionnaire responses to learning also increased by 63.33% in the first cycle and by 72.81% in the second cycle.
