PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PELUANG DAN AKTIVITAS SISWA DI KELAS IX B SMP NEGERI 2 TALAGA

Abstract


The mastery of opportunity competency and activity of class IX B students of Talaga Majalengka 2 Junior High School in opportunity material is still weak, indicated by classical completeness from the daily test of opportunity material for the 2016/2017 school year, students who achieve mastery are 69.23%, this means classical completeness still under the KKM. The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes in order to improve mastery of opportunity competencies and activities and students by applying the Problem Based Learning model. The scenario is done by the steps of Problem Based Learning. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles. Each cycle includes four stages of activity, namely (1) action planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results showed that students' competency opportunities increased from the initial condition of 69.23%, increasing to 81.81% in the first cycle, and increased again to 86.36% in the second cycle. Based on the observation sheet, the activeness of students' mathematics learning has increased from the first meeting in the first cycle to the second meeting of the second cycle. The results of the class action research concluded that the application of the PBL model can improve the mastery of opportunity competencies and activities of class IX B Talaga Majalengka 2 Middle School in the academic year 2017/2018.
