PENGGUNAAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES (PKP) DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA

Abstract


This study aims to determine whether there is influence of process skills approach (PKP) to the creative thinking ability of students. The research was conducted at MTs Al-Ikhlas Karawang for approximately 1 (one) month. The samples used were students of class VIII A and VIII B. The grade awarded PKP learning and one other class given conventional learning. The design of this study designnon equivalentquasi experimental and analytical approaches difference in difference (DID). The results showed that the mean score higher learning PKP 6.389 points compared to the average score PK study. The magnitude of this difference in scores is significant at the 5% level. Because the initial conditions of creative thinking ability of students is the same, the difference in the average score of 6.389 points can be viewed as a net result (net effect) from PKP learning to learning PK. The magnitude of the size of the effect (effect size) of PKP against PK study had a range (rank) from moderate to strong in enhancing the ability of creative thinking of students. Therefore, PKP eligible to be considered as a substitute for PK study in enhancing the ability of creative thinking of students
