KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI PROGRAM LINEAR

Abstract


This study aims to determine the students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the linear program material in XI Science class SMA PGRI Salawu based on the level of students' abilities. Reasoning skills are very necessary to achieve mathematical learning outcomes well. The mathematical reasoning abilities analyzed in this study are based on indicators (1) presenting mathematical statements verbally, in writing, pictures and graphics; (2) do mathematical manipulation, (3) compile evidence, provide reasons or evidence for several solutions; (4) draw conclusions from the statement; and (5) provide validity of arguments. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. This research was conducted on 16 students of class XI 1 SMA SMA PGRI Salawu which consisted of 3 upper ability students, 10 intermediate ability students and 3 lower ability students. From the five questions of reasoning ability tests given, data obtained showing the mathematical reasoning ability for the upper level (100%) entered the excellent category; middle level (40%) in the good category, and (60%) in the sufficient category; and lower level students (100%) are in the sufficient category.
