Analisis Peluang, Tantangan, dan Strategi Industri Halal di Indonesia

Abstract


Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analyze the opportunities, challenges, and strategies of the halal industry in Indonesia. The study aims to explore how Indonesia, with its large Muslim population, can optimize the growth and contribution of the halal industry to the national economy.

Design/methodology/approach: The research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology. This study is a literature review that uses secondary data obtained from scientific articles and other relevant documents. Data analysis involves three stages: data reduction, data categorization, and data verification, with triangulation techniques used to compare data sources.

Findings: The findings highlight several key points: Indonesia has a significant potential market for halal products due to its large Muslim population; The Indonesian government has shown a commitment to developing the halal industry through policies and regulations; The establishment of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) has made halal certification mandatory, providing security and comfort for Muslim consumers and boosting the halal industry, particularly in food; Strategies for enhancing the halal industry include increasing export values, boosting halal tourism, and leveraging the Islamic financial industry to support halal SMEs.

Research Implication: The research implies that Indonesia needs to strengthen its halal certification process, adopt innovative technologies, and enhance global marketing efforts to increase the competitiveness of its halal products. The government should also continue to support and promote the halal industry through effective policies and incentives.

Originality/value: The originality of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis of the halal industry's potential in Indonesia. It provides valuable insights into the strategic steps needed to optimize the halal industry's growth, making a significant contribution to the existing literature on halal industry development in Indonesia.
