DAMPAK PANDEMI COVID-19 TERHADAP AKTIVITAS EKONOMI MASYARAKAT DI DESA SALUMPAGA, KECAMATAN TOLITOLI UTARA

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) explains that Coronaviruses (Cov) is a virus that infects the respiratory system. This viral infection is called COVID-19. Corona virus is zoonotic which means it is transmitted between animals and humans. The spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia has not only spread in urban areas, but has spread to villages and also certainly has an impact on society. This research was conducted in Salumpaga Village, Tolitoli Utara District, Tolitoli Regency. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on community economic activities in Salumpaga Village. This research uses descriptive survey method with qualitative data analysis. The population in this study were all people of Salumpaga Village and the samples used or taken were ten people using purposive sampling technique (intentionally). Data collection techniques used are the method of observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic, both directly and indirectly, was felt by the community, certainly giving sufficient attention to the government and the community in particular. The results of this study find that the impact arising from the COVID-19 Pandemic on the economic activities of the Salumpaga Village community after the enforcement of government regulations in preventing the spread of COVID-19, namely: community income (traders, fishermen and farmers) has declined, many (public) economic facilities which is closed, the economy of the community and the region is increasingly jumping down, the market price of agricultural products has fallen, and basic necessities are soaring
