Peer Review Process

Policy Review of International Journal of Economics and Management:

  1. Articles published in the International Journal of Management and Economics were reviewed by 2 reviewers.
  2. Journal reviews implement a double-blind review policies.
  3. Plagiarism Screening of manuscripts that enter the International Journal of Management and Economics is carried out with an editorial system and reviewers are also assisted by checking on the www.grammarly.com
  4. There are four (4) recommendations that can be given by reviewers, namely:
    1. Accept Submission. Accepting articles without any revisions given
    2. Revision Required. Provide revisions without having to re-review . After the author revises the manuscript, it immediately proceeds to the editing process.
    3. Resubmit for Review. Provide revisions and after the author revises the manuscript in re-review .
    4. Resubmit elsewhere: manuscripts are rejected and submitted to other journals.
    5. Decline Submission. Reject writing because quality is not qualified.
    6. See comments: revision needed according to reviewer's suggestion (in the form of recommendations)
  5. In conducting a review, the reviewer considers: the novelty of the topic, objectivity, methods, scientific impacts/ implications, conclusions and references.

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

IJEM: International Journal of Economics and Management is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scientific articles in the fields of Economics and management covering the fields of operational management, human resource management, financial management, marketing management and economics. Articles published in the International Journal of Economics and Management include original scientific research results (top priority) and  scientific review articles of a new nature (not priority) free from fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplication, fragmentation / salami and copyright infringement of data / content, and have not been published elsewhere.

The International Journal of Economics and Management is managed and published by the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University periodically twice in each volume. The International Journal of Economics and  Management accepts manuscripts or article manuscripts in the field of Economics and Management studies from various academic circles and researchers both nationally and internationally.

 

Publication Ethics

The IJEM: International Journal of Economics and  Management (p-ISSN = 0000-1111) is a peer-reviewed journal managed and published by the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University. This statement expresses the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing an article in the IJEM: International Journal of Economics and Management, including authors, editors, chairmen of the editorial board, editorial boards, peer reviewers and publishers. This statement is based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for the editors of a journal.  The author must apply for a research ethics permit issued by the research ethics commission.

Guidelines for Ethics in Journal Publications

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal such as the IJEM: International Journal of Economics and Management is an important element in the development of knowledge networks. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and supporting institutions. Peer-reviewed articles serve to support and embody the scientific method. Therefore, it is very important to agree on ethical standards for publications for all parties involved in a journal publication, both authors, editors, editorial boards, peer reviewers, publishers and the public.

The Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University as the publishing institution of the  International Journal of Management and Economics  is  responsible for the entire publishing process and is fully aware of the ethics and responsibilities related to the process. In addition, the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University and the Editorial Board strive to establish good communication with other journals and/or publishers where necessary.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are worthy of publication through editorial board meetings. Editors are guided by the journal's editorial board policies and are limited by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of accepting articles, the team of editors is based on the principle of similarity of treatment.
  3. In the process of reviewing journals and making publication decisions (articles), the team of editors does not distinguish the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
  4. Editors and editorial teams will not disclose any information about incoming manuscripts or articles except with the permission of the author.
  5. Unpublished manuscripts (articles) once submitted will not be used by the editor's own research and will be returned directly to the author.

 

 Responsibility of the Reviewer

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on incoming manuscripts/articles

  1. The reviewer is responsible for the recommendations of the reviewed aricle.
  2. The review of the manuscript is done objectively, and is supported by clear argumentation.
  3. Reviewers are responsible for citations, references, and plagiarism of reviewed articles.
  4. Reviewers keep the information confidential for personal gain.

Writer's Responsibilities

  1. The author must present the article as a result of his thoughts or research clearly, honestly, and without plagiarism, and data manipulation.
  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the article that has been written.
  3. Authors must comply with publication requirements in the form of originality of the work, not plagiarism, and have never been published in other journals or publications.
  4. The author must indicate references from the opinions and works of others cited
  5. The author must write a manuscript or article ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific authorship regulations.
  6. Authors are prohibited from submitting/publishing the same article to more than one journal or publication.
  7. The author does not object to naskah undergoing editing without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.

 

 Publisher Responsibilities

  1. The Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University  as the publisher of the  International Journal of Management and Economics  is responsible for publishing articles that after going through the editing process, peer review, layout in accordance with the rules of publishing Scientific Journals.
  2. The Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University as the publisher of the International Journal of Management and Economics is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
  3.  Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Siliwangi University as the publisher of the International Journal of Management and Economics is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.
