Kemampuan Penalaran Logis Peserta Didik Ditinjau dari Mathematical Resilience

Abstract


This study aims to analyze students logical reasoning abilities in terms of mathematical resilience and analyze students' mistakes in answering questions based on the Newman stage. This study takes qualitative research using exploratory research methods and thinks aloud method as a technique in collecting data. The data collection technique used logical reasoning ability to test questions and mathematical resilience questionnaires and unstructured interviews. The instruments were giving in the form of logical reasoning ability test questions and mathematical resilience questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class IX F SMP Negeri 7 Cirebon City, which consisted of 3 students as research subjects. Taking the subject with the consideration of the subject is able to solve logical reasoning ability problems. The data analysis techniques using data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing/verification The results of this study indicate that the three subjects who have high mathematical resilience can work on all indicators of logical reasoning abilities, including gathering facts, building and establishing assumptions, assessing or testing assumptions, establishing generalizations, building supporting arguments, checking or testing the correctness of arguments and establishing conclusions. Student’s error in solving logical reasoning skills in reading errors occurred in S2 and S27, comprehension errors occurred in S2 and S27, process skills errors occurred in S2, S20, and S27, errors writing answers (encoding) occurred in S2, S20, and S27.
