Epistemological obstacle Peserta Didik dalam Memecahkan Masalah Matematika Berdasarkan Tipe Kepribadian Florence Littauer

Abstract


The aims of this research is to analyze students’ Epistemological obstacles in solving mathematical problems based on Florence Littauer’s personality type. This research is qualitative research with exploratory method. This research uses a Florence Littauer personality type questionnaire, Epistemological obstacle test questions, and unstructured interviews as data collection techniques. This research subjects were 6 students of class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that students with the sanguine personality type with conceptual obstacles (S16K) could not properly express what concepts are needed to solve problems. Sanguine personality types students with operational engineering obstacles (S25STO) make mistakes when writing units that should be miles to kilometers. Meanwhile, students with sanguine personality type with procedural obstacle (S22MP) have not been able to simplify their answers to find the simplest answer. Students with a choleric personality type do not find obstacles in solving questions. And students with a phlegmatic personality type with conceptual barriers (S29PK) have not been able to properly state what concepts are needed to solve problems.
