Studi etnomatematika artefak peninggalan di Taman Purbakala Cipari Kuningan
Abstract
This research aims to identify and discuss mathematical concepts and mathematical activities contained in ancient artifacts in the Cipari Archaeological Park. The research method used is a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted on several sources, namely, the management staff and the head of the museum collection stylist as Jupel BP3 (Archaeological Heritage Preservation Agency) Serang. The instruments in this study consisted of the researchers themselves as the main instrument, observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation guidelines. The data analysis technique used is the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that: (1) Mathematical concepts in ancient artifacts include: plane geometry concepts (circle, trapezoid, parallelogram, rectangle, irregular pentagon, circle, and ellipse), solid geometry concepts (beams, spheres) and patterns. number; and (2) Mathematical activities on ancient artifacts, including: counting, locating, explaining, measuring and designing.
