Analisis Kecerdasan Logis Matematis Dan Visual Spasial Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Geometri

Abstract


The aims of this research is to elaborate mathematical logical and visual spatial intelligence in handling geometry problems. The method used ini this research is a descriptive approach to qualitative research. The data collection were through tests and interviews. The research subjects consist of 32 students from clas VIII A, but only subjects that meet all characteristics or have the most characteristics of mathematical logical and visual spatial intelligence are selected. The analyzed data includes students’ worksheets and interview results. There are six characteristics of mathematical logical intelligence, namely, classification, comparison, mathematical calculation operations, deductive reasoning, hypothesis formation, and review. While for visual spatial intelligence, there are four characteristics, involving imagination, conceptualization, solving problems, and pattern recognition. The test instrument consists of four questions. The results of the data analysis show that only two students meet all characteristics mathematical logical and visual spatial intelligence.
