ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK DITINJAU DARI GAYA KOGNITIF

Abstract


This study aims to analyze students' mathematical creative thinking skills in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used include the MFFT (Matching Familiar Figures Test), a mathematical creative thinking skills test, and interviews. The instruments used are the MFFT and mathematical creative thinking skills test questions. The subjects of this study are class VIII B students. The subjects were selected based on their MFFT test results to categorize them into reflective and impulsive cognitive styles, and on their mathematical creative thinking skills test results. Based on the analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Reflective subjects were able to meet all indicators of mathematical creative thinking skills comprehensively. For the fluency indicator, reflective subjects were able to answer the questions completely. For the flexibility indicator, reflective subjects were able to answer all surface area questions of the boxes, resulting in complete answers. For the originality indicator, reflective subjects were able to solve the surface area problems for each box, resulting in complete final answers. For the elaboration indicator, reflective subjects were able to detail all required costs comprehensively. (2) Impulsive subjects were able to meet the fluency indicator comprehensively. However, for the flexibility indicator, impulsive subjects did not complete the questions fully, only solving the surface area problems of the boxes using one method, resulting in incomplete answers. For the originality indicator, impulsive subjects were only able to solve the surface area problem of the cube, resulting in incomplete final answers. For the elaboration indicator, impulsive subjects were able to detail the required costs comprehensively
