Analisis Miskonsepsi Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel Menggunakan Two-Tier Diagnostic Test Ditinjau Dari Dominasi Otak

Abstract


This research aims to analyze and describe misconceptions regarding two-variable linear equation systems using a two-tier diagnostic test in terms of brain dominance. This research was carried out at SMPN 5 Ciamis, taken from class IX. This research uses an exploratory descriptive method. The data collection technique in this research is a two-tier test on two-variable linear equation systems, a brain dominance questionnaire, and interviews. The research instruments used were researchers, two-tier test questions on two-variable linear equation systems and a brain dominance questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the research results, it was concluded: (1) Left brain dominated students, SKR1 showed several misconceptions including the misconception of equality; surgical misconceptions; variable misconceptions; and negative sign misconceptions, while SKR2 experiences fraction misconceptions; Misconceptions about operations and misconceptions about the nature of operations, (2) Right brain dominated students, SKN1 experienced misconceptions about operations, while SKN2 experienced misconceptions about variables; operational misconceptions and fractional misconceptions.
