Kemampuan Literasi Matematis dalam Menyelesaikan Soal AKM ditinjau dari Keyakinan Matematis Siswa

Abstract


This research aims to describe students' mathematical literacy abilities in solving AKM type questions with Measurement and Geometry Content in terms of mathematical beliefs. The research method used is an exploratory qualitative method. The subjects of this research were 3 Class VIII students at SMPN 12 Tasikmalaya, looking at their mathematical beliefs in the high, medium and low categories. The research results show that:1)The subject with high mathematical belief can improve their literacies by formulating situations mathematically, employing mathematical concepts, facts, procedures and reasoning, and interpreting, applying and evaluating mathematical outcomes; 2) The subject with medium mathematical belief can improve their literacies by formulating situations mathematically, employing mathematical concepts, facts, procedures and reasoning, and interpreting, applying and evaluating mathematical outcomes. However, students struggle to make generalizations and deductions based on available data, and are unable to apply mathematical concepts and explain their meaning.3) The subject with low mathematical belief can’t improve their literacies by applying and evaluating mathematical outcomes. Students struggle with applying and evaluating mathematical solutions. Students are also developing skills in geometric representation.
