PENERAPAN MEDIA SOSIAL WHATSAPP UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMK KOMPUTAMA MAJENANG PADA PEMBELAJARAN PERSAMAAN KUADRAT

Abstract

The interest of komputama vocational school towards mathematic subject is very low, so that the learning outcomes are not as expected, it can be seen from the students’ study result in 2017/2018 academic year. The students who got score above kkm (passing grade) was only 11.4%. The purpose of the study is to increase the students’ interest and learning outcomes by implementing social media whatapp in teaching and learning process. The type of the research is classroom action research (car) which is carried out in two cycles. The questionaire showed the students’ learning interest increased from 43% to 74% in cycle 1 and 82% in cycle 2. The students learning outcomes are also increased which can be seen from the students’ number who passed kkm. There are only 5 -7 students in cycle 1 and 22 students in cycle 2. The result of car can be concluded that the implementation of social media whatsapp in mathematic teaching and leaning process can increase students’ interest and learning outcomes of class xi tkj 3 vocational school of komputama majenang.
