KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN MATEMATIK PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER DAN STRUCTURED NUMBERED HEADS

Abstract


The purpose of the study was to explore students 'mathematical understanding ability better by using cooperative learning model type numbered heads together with structured numbered heads and to find out the attitudes of students towards the use of both learning models, describing students' mistakes in solving mathematical comprehension skills. This research is using experimental method. The population in this study were all VII grade students of Tasikmalaya city. The research sample was chosen by two random classes from the population. The VII-A class as the experimental class using the Stuctured Numbered Heads cooperative learning model there were 36 students, and class VII-B as the experimental class using the Numbered Heads Together type of cooperative learning model, there were 37 students. The research instrument used was a test question of students' mathematical comprehension abilities and attitude attitudes. The data analysis technique uses the two average difference test. Based on the results of processing, data analysis and hypothesis testing it was found that the Structured Numbered Heads type of cooperative learning model was better than the Numbered Heads Together type of students' mathematical understanding abilities. Student are positive about learning by using both models.
