PEMANFAATAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS DALAM PENENTUAN HIRARKI PUSAT PELAYANAN KOTA MEDAN

Abstract

Agglomeration of various activities or activities of the population in an area is an important indicator in determining service centers. The purpose of this study is to identify the structure of service centers in Medan City and to see the hierarchical structure of service centers in Medan City. The method used in this research is quantitative with the centrality index technique in determining the hierarchy in each sub-district in Medan City and seeing the correlation between public facilities and Covid-19. Based on the results of the calculation of the centrality technique in this study, facilities were concentrated in Medan Denai District 97.62% (hierarchy I) followed by Medan Area District 63.84% (hierarchy II) and Medan Polonia at 33.39% (hierarchy III).
