Focus and Scope
JA-CROPS (JOURNAL OF AGROTECHNOLOGY AND CROP SCIENCE)Â is a scientific journal published by Agrotechnology Department, Postgraduate Program, Universitas Siliwangi. By publishing twice a year in February and September, JA-CROPS publishes original articles, review articles, case studies, and short cummunications on the subject of agrotechnology and crop science. The scope of the journal are :

- Biotechnology
- Forestry and plantation
- Agricultural Microbiology

- Soil science
We accept submissions from all over the world, the article can be either in Bahasa Indonesia or English. All submitted articles shall never been published elsewhere, original, and not under consideration for other publication

Peer Review Process
The manuscripts will be reviewed with a double-blind review system which involves sending manuscripts to reviewers anonymously. A submitted manuscript from the author is first checked by the Chief Editor to evaluate whether the manuscript is in line with the focus and scope of JA-CROPS (Journal of Agrotechnology and Crop Science)Â and the result are then sent to the relevant Section Editor to assess the format (conformity with the given template) and identifying plagiarism. The manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent review partners. Decisions on the manuscript are made based on reviewer's recommendation, among several possibilities such as: require major or minor revision, rejected, or accepted.
All submitted manuscript will be screened as follow:
- The editor collects the submitting article.
- The editor section evaluates the manuscript (focus and scope, conformity with the given template, novelty, objectivity, method, conclusion, and references).
- Plagiarism screening will be done with the help of turnitin application. If more than 25% of the manuscript is plagiarized, it will be rejected.
- The manuscript needing revision will be returned to the authors and the authors must return the revised manuscript to the Chief Editor via OJS for further review process.
- The suitable manuscripts will be sent to reviewers.
- The reviewer should examine the manuscript and return it with their recommendation to the Chief Editor or Section Editors as soon as possible.
- The reviewers send back the reviewed article to Section Editor with revised if necessary.
- The Editor make a decision (rejected, major or minor revision, accepted or resubmitted)
- The decision is informed to the author via email.
- If there is a revision, the author must revise the manuscript and return it to the editor immediately (maximum 2 weeks). If the return is late (more than three months, it will be considered as a new manuscript submission).
- If there is no need for revision, the manuscript is forwarded to the technical editor for editing and layout process.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
