Analisis miskonsepsi peserta didik menggunakan tes CRI pada materi pecahan di SMP Negeri 4 Majenang Cilacap

Abstract


This study aims to determine the misconceptions that occur in students and the factors that cause students to experience misconceptions in fractional material. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was carried out in SMP Negeri 4 Majenang class VII A, totaling 26 students, the subjects of this study were taken purposively, namely 5 students in class VII A of SMP Negeri 4 Majenang. The data collection technique consisted of a misconception analysis test accompanied by a Certainty of Response Index (CRI) and interviews. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that (1) S1, S2, and S21 had misconceptions in question number 2 which contained indicators of achievement of competence in calculating the addition of fractions, S5 and S21 experienced misconceptions on questions that contained indicators of achievement of competence in calculating division of fractions, S18 and S21 had misconceptions on questions that contained indicators of achievement of competence in conversion of fractions to percent and vice versa. (2) The causes of misconceptions that occur include students' interest in learning, incomplete reasoning, wrong intuition, students' abilities.
