Self-Determination Theory sebagai Prediktor Hasil Latihan Ekstrakurikuler Siswa di SMP Negeri 6 Kota Tasikmalaya
Abstrak
Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam mengembangkan potensi non-akademik siswa, namun efektivitasnya sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti proses latihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Self-Determination Theory (SDT) sebagai prediktor hasil latihan ekstrakurikuler bola basket siswa di SMP Negeri 6 Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional prediktif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa yang aktif mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola basket sebanyak 34 siswa, dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria keikutsertaan minimal satu semester. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket untuk mengukur dimensi SDT yang meliputi autonomy, competence, dan relatedness, serta instrumen penilaian hasil latihan bola basket. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan Self-Determination Theory berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil latihan ekstrakurikuler bola basket. Secara parsial, seluruh dimensi SDT memiliki pengaruh positif, dengan competence sebagai prediktor paling dominan dibandingkan autonomy dan relatedness. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap kemampuan dirinya dalam menguasai keterampilan bola basket berperan penting dalam menentukan kualitas hasil latihan.
