PENALARAN MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK DITINJAU DARI CHRONOTYPE DAN GENDER

Abstract


Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses penalaran matematis peserta didik ditinjau dari Chronotype dan Gender. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan eksploratif. Subjek penelitian diambil secara purposif sebanyak empat orang peserta didik Kelas X Desain Komunikasi Visual 2 SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tasikmalaya berdasarkan proses penalaran matematik, chronotype, dan gender. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tipe chronotype, personal attributes questionnaire, tes penalaran matematik, dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data meliputi tahap-tahap reduksi data, display data, serta interpretasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: 1) Peserta didik laki-laki tipe morningness (MM) dapat melakukan sebagian tahap menilai situasi permasalahan, dapat memilih dan menerapkan strategi penyelesaian masalah, serta dapat menyusun simpulan, tetapi tidak mampu menyelesaikan masalah  dengan cara berbeda; 2) Peserta didik laki-laki tipe eveningness (EM) dapat melakukan tahap-tahap menilai situasi permasalahan dan memilih strategi penyelesaian masalah, dapat melakukan sebagian tahap-tahap menerapkan strategi penyelesaian masalah dan menyusun kesimpulan, tetapi tidak mampu menyelesaikan masalah dengan cara berbeda; 3) Peserta didik perempuan tipe morningness (MF) dapat melakukan semua tahap menilai situasi permasalahan, memilih strategi penyelesaian, menerapkan strategi penyelesaian masalah dengan dua cara berbeda, serta menyusun simpulan; dan 4) Peserta didik perempuan tipe eveningness (EF) tidak dapat melakukan penilaian situasi permasalahan, tetapi dapat memilih dan menerapkan strategi penyelesaian masalah, serta menyusun simpulan, akan tetapi tidak mampu menyelesaikan masalah dengan cara berbeda.
