Post Publication Discussion

The Journal of Energy and Electrical Engineering (JEEE) supports constructive scientific discussion of published articles to strengthen research transparency, accuracy, and reliability. Readers, researchers, and authors may raise evidence-based questions, clarifications, or critiques after publication. This policy follows the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) on post-publication discussions.

1. SCOPE OF POST-PUBLICATION DISCUSSION

Discussion may concern research methods, experimental data, simulation assumptions, analytical results, reproducibility, interpretations, or conclusions of articles published in JEEE. Comments must be relevant, scientifically reasoned, respectful, and supported by appropriate evidence or references.

2. SUBMISSION OF COMMENTS

Comments or critiques may be submitted to the JEEE Editorial Office by email at [email protected]. A submission should include:

  1. The title and DOI or URL of the article concerned.
  2. The submitter's name, affiliation, and contact details.
  3. A clear explanation of the issue and supporting evidence or references.
  4. Disclosure of any relevant conflicts of interest.

3. EDITORIAL ASSESSMENT AND AUTHOR RESPONSE

The Editorial Board will assess the relevance, clarity, and supporting evidence of each submission. The editor may request clarification or independent expert review. Where appropriate, the original authors will be invited to respond to substantive concerns. Editors and reviewers with relevant conflicts of interest must not take part in the assessment.

4. OUTCOMES AND PUBLICATION

Depending on the outcome, JEEE may provide a direct clarification, publish an appropriate commentary and author response, or issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction when warranted. Formal published discussions should identify and link to the original article. Scientific disagreement alone does not constitute research misconduct.

5. ETHICAL CONDUCT

JEEE does not accept personal attacks, harassment, defamatory statements, or unsupported allegations. Concerns involving possible research misconduct will be considered under the journal's relevant publication ethics procedures. The purpose of post-publication discussion is to improve the scholarly record through fair and constructive debate.
