Focus and Scope

Nutrition Scientific Journal (e-ISSN: 2964-9552; p-ISSN: 2964-5603) is a National Journal published twice a year (December and June) by Department of Nutrition Science, Faculty of Health Science, Universitas Siliwangi. Nutrition Scientific Journal is focused in the field of nutrition, with scope :

  • clinical nutrition
  • community nutrition
  • functional food
  • food technology related to nutrition
  • food services system

The editor receives articles in specific format as mentioned in the "Author Guideline and Submission". The articles will be reviewed with double blind review.

Peer Review Process

All articles submitted to this journal must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking.
The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers will give scientific comments on the contents of the manuscript.
Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Plagiarism detection of articles in this journal is carried out by using Turnitin software. The mechanism is double blind.

The reviewer's decision will be the editor's consideration to:

  1. Accept Submission
  2. Revisions Required
  3. Resubmit for review
  4. Resubmit elsewhere
  5. Decline Submission

The manuscripts that were rejected for publication due to several reasons, namely:

  1. The article does not fit the scope of the journal.
  2. Articles do not follow the rules of writing scientific papers or journal writing guidelines.
  3. Fatal error in methodology.
  4. The author rejects suggestions for improvement given by reviewers without acceptable reasons.
  5. The script indicated plagiarism with a similarity of more than 20%.

Nutrition Scientific Journal will be publish twice a year December and June

Nutrition Scientific Journal provides immediate open access to all article on the principle that making research freely available to the public; supports a greater global exchange of knowledge; and invaluable way to maximize the visibility and impact of research, especially education field.

This means :

  • The freedom to use and perform the work;
  • The freedom to study the work and apply the information;
  • The freedom to redistribute copies;
